A New York Times article, "V.A. Is Easing Rules to Cover Stress Disorder," published yesterday broke some encouraging news that the Department of Veterans Affairs is preparing new rules that will make it easier for veterans to qualify for benefits for post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
I don't handle VA cases. However, this is important news for a lot of veterans in this Fayetteville area, so I'm passing it on.
According to the article, the new rule would allow veterans suffering from PTSD to prove that they served in a war zone in a job consistent with what might cause PTSD. The new rule eliminates the requirement that the veteran prove specific events that may have caused PTSD.
If this new rule helps you or someone you love, please read the full New York Times article or contact the VA.
T'hanks for reading,
Eric
