I discussed the need to appeal the decision denying you benefits in Social Security Disability - Just Apply, however, appealing is something that bears repeating. I've talked with too many folks who have taken the approach of reapplying rather than appealing. This is often the advice of well-intentioned, but ill-informed friends and family.
Reapplying is unlikely to change the result. You should appeal the decision denying you benefits and you should appeal as soon as possible after being denied.
You have 60 days to appeal; however, waiting until the 60th day to file the appeal will only increase the time you have to wait to get a hearing. While the Social Security Administration has made progress in reducing the time it takes to get a hearing, folks continue to wait well over a year after the appeal is filed to get a hearing, so it's to your advantage to appeal as soon as possible.
I would also recommend that you discuss your case with an attorney experienced in representing Social Security Disability claimants. If you don't call me, call someone.

Eric
